The first stage soft-clips through silicon diodes, with large coupling capacitors that keep low frequencies in the path. The C control biases the second transistor: standard settings favour smoother distortion and sustain, while starving the stage yields gated velcro-style fuzz. A blue button raises first-stage gain for fuzz mode; a white button engages a fixed high-pass filter. The F knob is a first-order low-pass for high-frequency roll-off, and the A attenuator sets instrument level fully clockwise or line level fully counter-clockwise.
G and V set first-stage gain and output level. The maker notes the pedal can get very loud. True bypass and top-mounted mono jacks keep the dry path simple. The manual tips placing it first in the chain, or ahead of other true-bypass pedals.
Superlunar SR-01 is a fuzz pedal with a two-stage transistor circuit that spans subtle overdrive through full fuzz. Released in 2024 as an Analog Saturation Device, it is voiced for guitar and also handles bass, synths, and drum machines.
