Turbulent Audio Big Business is an EQ pedal that splits the signal into three shelving bands with adjustable crossover points. Low, Mid and High controls each cut or boost by up to 12 dB.

Two frequency knobs set where the bands meet. Lo Freq moves the low-to-mid crossover between 42 Hz and 492 Hz. Hi Freq places the mid-to-high crossover between 596 Hz and 4.98 kHz.
Each band has a flat response across its range, mids included. Setting two neighbouring level knobs to the same position therefore leaves the transition between them flat. The design aims at the broad, predictable moves of a tone stack without the interaction of a typical amp EQ.
Big Business also has a broadband Gain control and a dedicated clean Boost on its own footswitch, next to the main On/Off switch. The panel marks Gain from -12 dB to 12 dB and Boost from 0 dB to 12 dB. Turbulent Audio describes 18V of internal headroom for driving the front of an amp or the next pedal in the chain.
