Gain sets how hard the guitar signal drives the transistor stage, while Level sets the output and Tone trims the treble. Low gain settings give a light push into an amp, so the pedal also works as a boost.
Two three-way toggles shape the voice. Clip selects symmetrical hard clipping, no added clipping, or asymmetrical hard clipping. Body chooses between a mid-range, treble or full-range voicing.
The signal path is fully analogue with true bypass switching. The jacks are mounted on top, which saves space between pedals on a crowded board.

Overdrive
Awestruck Amplification Highland is a low-gain overdrive that uses a single-stage discrete silicon transistor instead of an op-amp. The circuit breaks up gradually and can move into mild fuzz at higher gain settings.
