The Voice Mixer blends three outputs: Square, Subharmonic and Oscillator. The Subharmonic section has eight settings from one to three octaves below. Its Root switch takes either the input or the oscillator as the reference.
The Master Oscillator follows the played note through an eight-position interval selector covering unisons, fifths, a major third and a minor seventh. A second Root switch places the oscillator at unison or one or two octaves down. The Frequency Modulator adds Glide or Vibrato at an adjustable rate.
As a monophonic circuit, the pedal tracks single notes rather than chords. The design draws on the Electrax Synthax and a circuit by Ray Marston. Like the Plumes, it uses Flexi-Switch relay bypass for latching or momentary use.
EarthQuaker Devices Data Corrupter is a monophonic harmonizer that uses an analogue phase-locked loop to turn guitar into a three-voice synth. A square-wave fuzz feeds the loop, which multiplies, divides and modulates the pitch.
