Plumes Small Signal Shredder

Mode 1 uses symmetrical LED clipping for more compression and crunch. Mode 2 removes the clipping diodes for a wide-open op-amp boost. Mode 3 uses asymmetrical silicon diodes closer to a stock screamer-style clip, with a looser feel and lower output than Mode 1. The tone control is active across its range: bass toward the left, mid focus in the centre, and treble toward the right.

Raising input impedance to about 10 MΩ and converting the 9 V supply to an internal ±9 V rail give the circuit more headroom than a typical single-rail screamer-style pedal. Output level and drive amount are set independently.

Flexi-Switch relay bypass supports latching taps or momentary holds and needs power to pass signal.
