Four footswitchable freeze modes cover different playing styles. Moment holds a sound only while the switch is pressed, while Sustain, Auto and Latch keep and stack layers. Attack, Decay, Layer and Gliss knobs shape how sounds start, fade, combine and slide.
Eleven effect types include delay, flange, phase, rotary, pitch shifting and a resonant filter. Live Effects mode bypasses the synth engine and sends the dry signal through these effects. An effects loop can add external pedals to the frozen signal only.
An expression pedal or control voltage can sweep seven parameters, with stored snapshots for each effect type. A three-button external switch can control the footswitches remotely. The pedal tracks chords and also works with bass, keyboards and vocals. It builds on the original Superego from Electro-Harmonix.
Electro-Harmonix Superego+ is a synth and freeze pedal that captures notes or chords and holds them as sustained, layered sounds. A built-in effects section then processes that frozen signal.
