Overdrive
JHS Morning Glory V4 is an overdrive based on the Marshall Bluesbreaker that adds gain while leaving the amp's core tone largely unchanged. Low settings add light grit to a clean amp, and the pedal also works as a full-range boost into a crunchy one.

The design dates from 2008 and has changed across four versions. V4 doubles the headroom of the previous version, adds a gain toggle, and adds the Red Remote jack. The toggle brings a second voice with more low end and more gain. An optional Red Remote, sold separately, switches that voice while you play. The LED changes from blue to red when the higher-gain voice is on.
A bright-cut switch sits on the side. V3 had it on the front; V4 moved it. It trims high frequencies on brighter rigs. Volume, Drive, and Tone set output level, gain amount, and the tone after the drive.
V1 used a larger white enclosure and had no logo. V2 moved to the smaller gold box that later versions kept. V3 added the bright-cut.
