JAM Pedals announces Wahcko mk.2 wah pedal
JAM Pedals launches the Wahcko mk.2 wah with a custom TDK-inspired inductor and guitar/bass modes.

JAM Pedals has launched the Wahcko mk.2, an update to its treadle wah for guitar and bass, with free shipping noted on the maker’s product page.

According to JAM Pedals, the mk.2 centres on a custom inductor inspired by vintage TDK designs from 1960s Cry Baby and Vox wah circuits. A side-mounted six-position SWEEP rotary still picks frequency ranges, while a new internal Q trimmer joins the retained input-gain trimmer. Internal DIP switches configure guitar or bass modes, with bass mode extending the sweep for lower-register instruments. The update also adds a newly designed custom rubber tread, and JAM says 9 V battery operation returns alongside a centre-negative 9 V DC adaptor.
The pedal remains true bypass with adjustable rocker tension via the included 4 mm Allen key. Specs on the product page include approximately 70 kΩ input and 10 kΩ output impedance, 10 mA current draw, and dimensions of 25.7 × 12.5 × 7 cm (10 × 4.9 × 2.7 in) including jacks and controls, at 1.7 kg.
