Native Audio Sweet Pine loops memories under its reverb

A dynamics-triggered micro-loop feeds Sweet Pine's stereo reverb, with octave voices and an Infinite mode that holds a phrase while you play on.

No record button, no clock — just your next note. Native Audio calls that behaviour a Dynamic Loop on Sweet Pine, a stereo reverb with a micro-loop underneath it. Dig in and the memory starts over; lay back and it keeps going; stop playing and the last note carries on.

Fragments decides how much comes back: a stutter at one end, a longer phrase at the other. Voices chooses the octave content. Dream does more than extend the decay; Native Audio says it also grows the space, raises an input low-cut and introduces slow pitch drift beyond noon. Sustain adds echo to the micro-loop before it reaches the reverb.

There are separate Loop Mix and Reverb Mix controls, and the two effects switch independently. With the loop running, hold the Micro-Loop footswitch to enter Infinite mode: the current memory keeps looping while you play over it. Fragments, Voices and Sustain still reshape that held material. Press again and it returns to following your playing.

Mono-in/stereo-out is the default; true stereo input and output are also available over the TRS audio jacks. The expression/MIDI socket can be set to either role, with MIDI CC covering all six knobs and both footswitches. Power is 9 V DC, centre-negative, at 225 mA, and bypass is buffered.

Founder Mike Trombley ties Sweet Pine to his Blackfeet (Amskaapi Piikuni) heritage and The Camp of the Ghosts. The repeating curves on the enclosure represent both pine needles and waveforms. Native Audio is taking pre-orders on the maker's product page; our Sweet Pine page collects the details.
