Warm Audio WA-C1 Mod adds a bypassable preamp to a smaller chorus
WA-C1 Mod keeps split chorus and vibrato depth and rate, plus a Vintage/Modern switch that can bypass the analog preamp.

Shrinking the box is only half of it. Warm Audio's full-size WA-C1 keeps its analog preamp in the path. The Mod version, WA-C1 Mod, is a compact stereo chorus and vibrato the maker positions as CE-1-style, with a Vintage/Modern switch so that preamp can stay for the original character or drop out for a cleaner chorus. Top-mounted jacks and a shorter footprint are the other changes versus the WA-C1.

Depth and Rate are split for chorus and again for vibrato. Warm Audio notes that vintage designs tied intensity to LFO speed and BBD delay time; here depth is its own control. Hi-Z moves the color from a darker 70s warmth toward a brighter 80s upper-mid and treble push. The High input-sensitivity setting is there for headroom, and a flashing LED tracks the modulation rate. The product page specifies a premium Xvive MN3007 bucket-brigade chip, and the manual adds three Texas Instruments audio op amps in the signal path on a fully analog circuit.
One 6.35 mm input, two outputs. The enclosure measures 71 mm wide by 114 mm deep by 61 mm tall and weighs 0.45 kg. Current draw is 200 mA at 9 V, with a dual DC-DC converter for what the manual calls vintage-correct internal voltage. Warm Audio's application list runs from a dark 70s chorus, to a cleaner modern chorus with the preamp bypassed, to rotary-style vibrato.
The Warm Audio product page does not state stock; it offers Shop Gear and a dealer locator.
