HeadRush 5.2 lets Core, Prime and Flex Prime run two NAM captures
Two NAM A2 Full captures now fit in one HeadRush rig, with stereo and switch doubling inside a single block and calibration levels read on load.

One NAM capture per rig was the catch when HeadRush first opened its modellers to Neural Amp Modeler files in firmware 5.1. Version 5.2 loosens it. Prime, Core and Flex Prime can now hold two NAM A2 Full captures in a single rig, loaded natively with no conversion step.
There are two routes. Drop two separate NAM A2 blocks into the chain, or tap X2 on one block and pick a doubling mode. Stereo Doubling places two captures left and right in the same slot, both running all the time, for a wider image. Switch Doubling stacks them in one slot and flips between top and bottom from an assigned footswitch. The lighter A2 Lite format stretches to four captures per rig, using doubling across two blocks.

Switch Doubling also solves a quieter problem. The HeadRush manual notes that reverb and delay tails don't carry over a rig change when a NAM block is in the rig, so flipping captures inside one rig keeps the tails ringing. One catch from the same manual: load more than two captures, or put a stereo reverb or delay ahead of two separate NAM blocks, and the A2 captures drop to Lite mode automatically.
The update also reads NAM A2 calibration metadata, the input and output levels stored with a compatible capture, so gain matching follows what the capture's creator set. Housekeeping fills out the rest: TONE3000 previews on the device no longer pick up unintended EQ, NAM A1 files show up in the browser without special filters, and the delay or burst of noise when switching scenes or rigs containing NAM files is fixed.
The update installs over Wi-Fi from the Firmware Update menu or over USB with the updater app, which sits in the Downloads section of each unit's product page, including HeadRush's Prime page. HeadRush asks owners to back up rigs, setlists, clones, loops and IRs first. Hardware details are on our Core and Flex Prime pages.
